Nattassja
A playful visual identity for a whimsical storyteller breaking into freelancing
Introduction
Natassja is a Swedish children’s book illustrator and animator eager to establish herself in the world of freelancing. She offers personalized illustrations and animations for both private clients and businesses. The brand needed to reflect her creativity while positioning her as a professional ready for the global stage.
Problems and Goals
In children’s book illustration, 90% of brand recognition comes from the uniqueness of an artist’s style. Unlike traditional branding, there’s no single formula to follow, making it challenging to stand out in a crowded, style-driven market. Our task was to create an identity that captured Natassja’s personality and set her apart visually.
Concept Development
Through interviews and creative exploration, we uncovered key aspects of Natassja’s identity that could be woven into every element of her brand.
The guiding keywords—Fun, Inviting, and Whimsical—ensured the design was full of charm, but never overbearing.

Branding Elements
The logo is a scalable lettermark, featuring a bold, cursive N that conveys a mix of playfulness and cleverness. The color palette draws from the primary colors—tools every artist knows well—which give the brand a lighthearted, child-friendly feel while reinforcing its artistic roots.
